Dr. Bostwick, a frequent visitor to Slovenia, will guide us with pictures through the Walk of Peace Hike, a cross-border trail connecting the fronts of two countries Slovenia and Italy. The area known as the Isonzo Front, was the site where Austro-Hungarian troops and Italian troops fought in WWI. This area was the scene of great casualties and there are numerous cemeteries, trenches, caves, and chapels to mark the site. It is also a site of great beauty with mountains, gorges and a beautiful sky blue river. The Walk of Peace Hike is divided into 15 one-day walks and was inaugurated in 2015.
