As part of our next TCS membership meeting, John Zakelj will share photos and videos of his family’s shoemaking tradition in Žiri, Slovenia. His parents and grandparents were active in the development of shoemaking cooperatives which eventually formed the basis for today’s Alpina Company, known worldwide for quality boots and shoes, especially for downhill and cross-country skiing. A Zoom link will be e-mailed to members a few days before the meeting.
